How do I wear myPelvicBra® correctly for maximum support?
- Step into it like a pair of panties
- Use one hand in front and one in back to lift the hammock that slings front to back until it is in direct contact with the perineal body (high enough to feel snug, secure, and supported). The perineal body is just in front of the anus. The hammock should literally lift the perineal body upwards.
- Lift the waistband straps upward across your pelvis so that you maintain that support. Many people anchor them on top of their outer pelvic bones for an optimum lift.
You should instantly feel more supported in standing and walking.
Raise the waistband slightly for more compression, and lower it for less, depending on your activity or comfort level. Move around (walking, squatting, etc) to ensure the Pelvic Bra® moves with you like a second skin, providing the right balance of comfort and support while you wear it.
What if I don’t feel the support?
If you aren’t feeling support, don’t be discouraged! Follow these tips:
- Remove anything that may be a barrier (pantyhose, pads, denim etc.) between the Pelvic Bra® and your perineal body.
- Ensure the hammock that slings front to back is lifting the perineal body. Use one hand in front and one in back to lift the hammock that slings front to back until it is in direct contact with the perineal body (high enough to feel snug, secure, and supported).
- Lift the hammock higher
-Tighten the waistband straps
-Lift the waistband straps higher
-Size down if you still aren’t feeling support
We guarantee that we have a garment that will support you or we will refund you the purchase price. Finding the right fit sometimes takes a couple tries so be patient!
What if the Pelvic Bra® is too tight?
If the waistband feels too tight, but the hammock and perineal lift feel perfect, you can add extenders to increase the waistband width while maintaining the same level of support front to back. This is especially helpful for people with a larger midsection or during pregnancy. If it is still too tight, size down.
Can I wear myPelvicBra® during workouts or daily activities?
Yes! The Pelvic Bra® is designed to move with you, whether you’re walking, lifting, running errands, or working out. It’s especially helpful during activities that place extra stress on your pelvic floor, like running, strength training, or other upright movements. For high-impact exercise, tighten slightly and lift higher for added support, and loosen/lower afterward for comfort.
How do I clean and care for myPelvicBra® to maintain its quality?
Hand wash or machine wash in cold water and line dry. Do not use heat, bleach, or iron, as these can damage the elastic fibers and reduce long-term support.
To keep your Pelvic Bra® fresh, use a barrier in between (such as panties or our reusable liners) and wash every 3–4 uses. If you’ve been sweating heavily or if any fluids come into contact with the garment, it’s best to wash it after each use. Proper care will help maintain the integrity, comfort, and compression of your Pelvic Bra® for long-term wear.
If you’re wearing this daily, we recommend having 7 in your closet and rotating through 1 for each day of the week.
How do I choose my size?
Use our Size Guide to find your perfect fit based on measurements.
For the most accurate results, measure directly on your skin (not over clothing), and make sure the tape is snug enough to leave a slight indentation without pinching.
If you’re between sizes, we recommend sizing down. These are stretchy and for maximum support, they need to fit snugly.
Is it normal to feel immediate relief?
Yes! Most people feel an immediate sense of lift and relief when they put on their Pelvic Bra®. If you have symptoms, you should notice a reduction in heaviness, pressure, or bulging as the perineum is gently supported. If you don’t have symptoms, you should still feel that gentle perineal lift.
If you don’t feel that lift, there likely isn’t enough compression. Try raising the hammock slightly higher, tightening the waistband, or adjusting your size to ensure proper support. The right fit should feel secure but still comfortable, offering stability without restriction.
